Koondrook caravan park is situated on the junction of the Murray River and Gunbower Creek, with its twin town of Barham (New South Wales) is divided by the Murray River and accessible by the lift bridge.
The towns are less than one hour from Swan Hill and Echuca.
Just over three hours from Melbourne and 1 1/2 hours from Bendigo.
Koondrook and Barham are also on the direct route from Adelaide to Sydney.
The Murray River is Australia's most famous river and played a vital role in the early development of our nation. A popular day trip from Koondrook is to visit Australia's largest inland port at Echuca we can learn about the early transport industries and our great paddle steamers. Koondrook has many links with Echuca including that of Arbuthnot sawmills and the paddle steamer building industry.
