Welcome to Koondrook Caravan Park in the historic red gum township of Koondrook. The park is situated centrally and in Koondrook's nature hub on the junction of the Murray River and Gunbower Creek.
The park overlooks Gunbower Island red gum state forest which is the largest inland Island in the Southern Hemisphere with an abundance of fauna and flora. Koondrook shares the Murray with its twin town of Barham (New South Wales)
Koondrook Caravan Park is centrally located and is a hop, skip and jump from the general store, local watering hole, post office, public swimming pool, boat ramp, and site of old wharf and goods shed.
Koondrook is an Aboriginal word meaning "meeting of the waters" as this is where the Gunbower Creek meets the Murray River.
Located about 300km northwest of Melbourne on the Victoria / NSW border, Koondrook is famous for its forest industry and for building paddle steamers in the 1800's.
More recently tourism has also become important with the area offering many activities including  fishing, canoeing, cruising on the river or swamplands, bush walking, bird watching, golf, bowls and tennis.
